About us

Kerala Classified Hotel and Resorts Association (KCHRA) was formed by a group of like-minded enterprising persons running tourist hotels, bar hotels with State-Central government’s various classifications and green leaf certified Ayurvedic centres with government recognition.

The organisation was formed on November 8, 2009 at a meeting of group members based on a concept they had evolved through several discussions held earlier. The association has been registered under Travancore Cochin Science and Literary Act 1955(12).

The Thiruvananthapuram based association has its head office at T/C- 25/3592 (2), Neerazhi lane, Pulimoodu, GPO. Trivandrum, Kerala.



  • set up tourism-related educational institutions with job-oriented approach and conduct campus recruitment for the members
  • Take up social service activities for the nation’s unity; work for the well-being of the poor
  • Conduct orphanages and health care centres
  • Provide facilities for developing the artistic talents of the members in areas such as music, painting, drama, dance, photography, and other traditional art forms like Kathakali, Ottamthullal, Kathaprasangam etc…
  • Conduct gymnasium, yoga and sports for the physical development and healthy existence of the members
  • Conduct research and development programmes and study classes to help one take up job and farming in scientific manner
  • Work for protecting and preserving traditional art forms, paintings, nature, historical archives, heritage centres, museums and galleries

Vision and Mission

KCHRA will

  • Function for the wellbeing of the members.
  • Provide necessary infrastructure for the members’ benefit
  • Help the members get aids including financial support from Central-State governments and other organisations
  • Ensure equality and brotherhood among the members
  • Ensure cultural development of the members
  • Nurture literary interests among the members by opening new libraries, conducting literary classes, talks and publishing literary works
  • Conduct training programmes to help unemployed members get self-employed, and create self-employment opportunities
  • Organise study classes for the illiterate
  • Stand for the overall development and growth of tourism
  • Provide legal consultancy cell for the members to help them seek legal advice

How to become a member?

Fill up the prescribed application form for becoming a member and submit it along with the registration fee and annual fee of Rs 1500.

Once the membership is accepted by the association, the member will have to remit annual fee every year without fail.
